Over the course of these few weeks of being in the class room I have seen a huge change in how the students respect their teacher and how they react to the classroom management. The teacher has changed the rules a lot for the class but she does keep it every month and than if that's not working she will try something new.
Class room rules have changed a lot, which I feel is hard for the students to really stay with the class room rules. I have really seen their struggle with keeping up with the rules and know when and what is acceptable and not. It's just really hard for them.
One thing that I do like is that she has this system where they will love second of their recess and that really helps them stay on task. She also has a "special plan" where if the student continues the bad behavior they have to owe her a recess and if it keeps going on they contact their parents. I haven't seen a student who will continue their bad behavior after their parents are contacted.

Blog entry 6
I have really noticed more of how the teacher interacts with her students. It's really made a change to the way the students interact with each other. They really want to help each other learn more. We had few problems in the beginning of the year because it was always about me my self and i . but now each students really wants to make sure that every one is involved with the learning. I see them really talk to each other and really help. It's great.
I really hope that I can really have students involvement with my class. I want to make sure that each students know how important each other is to every one's learning. It really makes a difference!

I would have to say the most important role a teacher can play is being mentor. It's hard to balance the friendship but also the respect the student need to have for their teacher in one. I think the mentor is the one that can complement them the most. The student really needs a mentor. The class I am in the teacher really wants them to succeed and she really tries to show them that. I think it's great!
The hardest part I would say is being a friend. You want your students to know you love them and are their friend but they also need to know they need to respect their teacher. I can see the struggle Mrs. Wilson has. She loves each of her students very much but she also needs and wants their respect. That's hard to really have them understand. You want them to have fun but also learn.
I want to be able to balance everything. I know it's going to be hard and really difficult to balance being a friend and disciplinary figure. Teaching I know is hard. But I am so excited to be a teacher!

In the classroom I am in we have a lot of students who are a level or two below the rest of their class mates. It's hard for them because they see their friends excelling and they are stuck. One thing the teacher has done is she really focuses on clearly explaining every lesson. She makes it fun by doing group activities or she brings out blocks they can use to help them. One thing she has done for those students with ADHD is she makes her lessons simply and fun. she uses things that they know or they recognize. Like Mickey Mouse. she used a mickey mouse face and colors how many ways there were to make ten. I thought that was really cool and fun.
Every student there is under the IDEA. it's public school so they have free education. and the environment is an non restrictive place to learn. The teacher really makes sure she uplifts her students and does not restrict them from learning. she wants to make sure that the students understand and if they don't she will keep reviewing and teaching until they do understand. I really like that about her.
For those students who are English learners she really is trying to use all three learning Technics with them. She has a dictionary for each student so they can write down the words they don't know how to write and ask how to spell. Its awesome.
